It's that time of year again when we lace up our running shoes and come together to make a difference in our community. We are thrilled to invite you to join Team Perley Health for the 2024 Ottawa Race Weekend!
A Journey of Service: From Miliarty Nursing to Supporting Perley Health
Perley Health Team member, Karen Reed, is participating in the Ottawa Race Weekend for her 4th year in a row! Born into an Army family, Karen's upbringing instilled a deep appreciation for the care of Veterans. After training as a Registered Nurse in Kingston, Ontario, she worked at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital before joining the Canadian Armed Forces. Her postings took her across Canada, from CFB Edmonton to CFS Gypsumville in Manitoba, where she gained invaluable nursing experience.
